Good Reason Houston Brand

CLIENT: GOOD REASON HOUSTON

Good Reason Houston is a nonprofit organization that uses data collected by the state of Texas to help public schools improve. Knowing data was going to be a large part of their communications, I developed a system of circles — first visible in their logo — that could be used to create line graphs, pie charts, education-related illustrations, patterns and a lot more.

One of the neatest things I built for Good Reason was their first annual report (“annual scorecard”), which I titled “Connecting the Dots.” The cover featured die-cut circles that, upon opening the report, revealed the text portion of the logo: A metaphor for how Good Reason connects the dots of state data to make change for children in Texas schools.

Straightforward yet powerful, the brand has many fans in the nonprofit world, and the first event hosted by Good Reason with their new brand brought us lots of additional brand work!
